Definitions and legal bases We understand the terms used, such as "personal data" or "processing", in the sense of Art. 4 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We have concluded a data processing agreement with the host in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. With every request, the server automatically saves information that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time, page accessed, amount of data transferred, the previously visited page (referrer), as well as browser and operating system. We need this data to deliver the website, find errors, and defend against attacks (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR). The log files are automatically deleted after a short time, unless they are needed for longer to investigate a security incident. The connection to our website is encrypted via TLS. You can recognise this by the padlock symbol and "https://" in the address bar. ## 4. Cookies, consent and cookie settings We use the MG Cookie Banner to manage your consent. It runs on our own server, and data is transferred to third parties. On your first visit, you can consent to all optional services in the banner, reject all, or select them individually. Without your consent, we do not load any external content such as YouTube videos. We save your decision in a cookie `mgcb_consent` on your device. Visitor statistics on our own server To see how often our pages are accessed, we count page views using statistics on our own server. No data is transferred to third parties. Without your consent, we do not use a cookie for this: We create an identifier from the shortened IP address, the browser ID, and a daily changing key, which cannot be assigned after one day. The accessed page, the previously visited page (referrer), and the time are stored (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, legitimate interest in improving our services). Only if you consent to the "Statistics" category will we additionally set the cookie `mgcb_vid` (duration one year), to recognise recurring visits (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, § 25 para. 1 TDDDG). We delete the individual statistical data after 90 days; after that, only aggregated figures without any personal reference remain. ## 6. Repair order, complaint and contact When you place a repair order via our website, we process the information from the form: salutation, first and last name, company and VAT ID if applicable, billing and delivery address, email address, telephone number, details about the device and vehicle (model, year of manufacture, error description, water damage, previous repair attempts), your problem description, the calculated estimated price, the language of the page, and your consent to the GTC and privacy policy. From this, we create an order form as a PDF, which we send to you and ourselves via email. The same applies mutatis mutandis to the complaint form. For questions via the "Do you have any questions?" form at the bottom right of each page, we process your name, your email address, your message, and the page from which you are writing in order to answer your question (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR). We use this data to process your order, to contact you in case of queries, to carry out the repair, to invoice and to return the device (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Mandatory fields are required for this purpose. Without this information, we cannot accept the order. The forms are processed and stored on our own server using the WordPress plugin Fluent Forms. If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, we process your details to handle your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR). We delete enquiries that do not result in an order after six months at the latest. We retain documents relating to completed orders in accordance with statutory periods (commercial and business letters for 6 years, accounting vouchers and invoices for 8 or 10 years, § 257 HGB, § 147 AO) and delete them thereafter (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR). ## 7. E-mail Our emails are processed via Google Workspace from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. This also applies to the confirmation emails for your order. Google processes the content as a data processor in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. A transfer to the USA is possible. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which an adequacy decision by the EU Commission exists (Art. 45 GDPR). ## 8. Multilingualism (MultiLipi) Our website is available in several languages. For translation, we use MultiLipi from MultiLipi Technologies Private Limited, India. The texts on our pages are translated. For this purpose, MultiLipi forwards them to a translation service (Microsoft Azure). On all pages, your browser also loads a script from MultiLipi (script-cdn.multilipi.com) and country flags for language selection via the Cloudflare network (cdnjs.cloudflare.com). In this process, your IP address and technical details of your browser are transmitted. MultiLipi also receives information about which page you are visiting. The script saves your chosen language in your browser's storage (Local Storage). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in offering customers from abroad an offer in their own language (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Storing the language selection is technically necessary to display the language you requested (Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). For transfers to India and other third countries, we have agreed on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses with MultiLipi (Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR). We use the enhanced privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com) for this. The video is only loaded once you provide consent in the cookie banner or click on "Load content". Until then, we only display a preview image hosted on our own server. After loading, YouTube receives your IP address and information about which page you are visiting, among other things, and may set cookies. A transfer to the USA is possible. Google Reviews We display reviews from our Google business profile. Our server retrieves the reviews from Google via the WordPress plugin WP Social Ninja and stores them with us. When viewing, your browser does not connect to Google. Only when you click on a link such as "Write a review" will you be taken to a Google page, for which Google's privacy policy applies (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR, legitimate interest in displaying our customer reviews). ## 11. Recipients Your data will only be received by the service providers mentioned above to the extent necessary for the respective purpose, as well as by the commissioned shipping company (e.g., DHL, DPD, GLS, UPS) for the shipment of your device and, if necessary, our tax advisor and authorities within the scope of legal obligations. Data will not be passed on for advertising purposes. ## 12.
